What Is the Right to Be Forgotten?

Under GDPR and other regulations, you have the right to request deletion of your personal data. This is sometimes called the "Right to be Forgotten."

How to Request Deletion

To request that your account and data be deleted, email: privacy@scoutline.com

Include:

  • Your full name
  • Email address on your account
  • Confirmation you understand the consequences

What Happens When You Request Deletion

  1. Your account is immediately deactivated
  2. Your profile is hidden from coaches and other users within 24 hours
  3. Your personal data (name, email, statistics, etc.) is deleted within 30 days
  4. Verification records are anonymized

What Is NOT Deleted

We may retain certain data for:

  • Legal compliance: Tax records, fraud prevention
  • Safety: Records needed to prevent abuse
  • Anonymized analytics: Aggregated, non-identifying data

Special Rules for Minors

If you are under 18, your parent or guardian can request deletion on your behalf:

  • We will delete your data within 30 days

Verification Records

Once your account is deleted, verifications by scouts cannot be traced back to your personal identity. Your name is removed from verification records.

Can Deletion Be Reversed?

No. Deletion is permanent. You can create a new account later, but your old data will not be restored.
